​​Tammy Teigland is a versatile author known for her romance suspense series, "A Stranger in the Night," and her debut conspiracy thriller, "Veritas." What sets Tammy apart is her commitment to in-depth research, which forms the backbone of her gripping stories. To ensure authenticity and fresh perspectives, she actively immerses herself in diverse experiences, from accompanying local law enforcement to venturing into caves and consulting with a wide range of experts, including those in federal agencies. Despite a background in architectural and interior design, writing remains her central passion, and her readers eagerly await each new installment.

Tammy is currently developing two additional writing projects while managing her busy family life and ongoing research.

Tammy's Wisconsin roots, punctuated by a period in Oklahoma, fostered a childhood of outdoor exploration and a deep love for reading, particularly historical fiction and tales of adventure. Her teenage years in Southeastern Wisconsin included working and an immersion in the world of muscle cars, a passion shared with her father and brother.

 

The unique atmosphere of a century-old farmhouse in Burlington, WI, where Tammy settled as a young adult, provided the initial spark for her first novel, "A Stranger in the Night." The house's quirks and unusual events became integral to the story. Seeking a new direction after working in the bar industry, Tammy moved to Illinois, where she married her husband, Mike, and together they built a home of her design. Although she initially pursued a degree in Criminal Justice, the arrival of her first child led her to study architecture and design, driven by a desire to create and visualize in three dimensions.

 

A college creative writing course prompted Tammy to revisit and expand upon an earlier short story, "Randi." Encouraged by her instructor, she developed the narrative, culminating in the publication of "A Stranger in the Night" in 2010. Tammy firmly believes that the richness of everyday life offers endless inspiration for her storytelling.

 

Currently residing in Northeastern, IL, with her husband and their two energetic dogs, Tammy takes immense pride in her daughters' achievements and continues to seek out new experiences to fuel her writing.
